Annual Report 2014

ICEIDA's role is to administer bilateral development cooperation provided by the Government of Iceland. ICEIDA´s main objective is to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life among the poorest.  ICEIDA´s partner countries in 2014 are three, all in Africa: Malawi, Mozambique and Uganda. The agency also implements a regional geothermal  exploration project in East Africa.

Too small to change the world, but....

Icelandic development aid to poor countries on its own is too small to change the world. This is obvious due to the small size of our country. However, when we provide quality assistance and focus on choosing suitable areas for involvement, we are able to have significant lasting impact on local communities in poor countries.
